I first met Chelsea a little under a year ago. She hired me to photograph her immediate family as a Mother’s Day gift for her mom. From the moment we met, I immediately liked her. Family sessions usually move at a quick pace, especially when kiddos under 10 are involved, so we didn’t get to chat that much but I could tell that she was a very encouraging, gentle and thoughtful person just from the short amount of time I spent with her. Flash forward to October 2016 and I saw the best news on her Facebook page, she was engaged! And I’ll let you in on a little secret…in that moment I quietly hoped that I would have the opportunity to photograph her wedding.
Spoiler Alert: my wish came true. 🙂
In early December, Chelsea and I met for coffee and it felt more like I was hanging out with a friend than meeting a potential client. She told me more about her story and how she met her fiancé, Nate. It’s a good story. One that may just have to wait for their wedding blog post. 🙂 Chelsea is a strong, strong woman. And Nate, well he is just so genuine, nice and totally in love with her. I could not be happier for the both of them AND their families.
We decided that since they are having a Summer wedding (yay for June 2017 !!!) that it would be fun to have their session be a nod to Winter in Colorado. We found the perfect spot in Evergreen, CO and it wasn’t completely freezing on the day we met up. There was a bit of wind (hello Colorado!) but it was otherwise what we had hoped for: snow on the ground, a barn, a beautiful sunset and some great views. Oh and lets just talk about Chelsea’s outfit…she knocked it out of the park!
As you can see these two truly are meant for one another. I can’t wait for their wedding in June!
